Web-based Electronic Medical Record Software
Overview
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is a web-based electronic medical data storage application for doctors and medical staff in a clinic setting. This application is designed to have multi-level user authentication system and support multiple organizational units (separate clinics). The product can keep track of patients who are given medical treatment in different clinics; enable assignment of patients to different doctors, and allow each doctor to assign particular courses of treatment (procedures) to each of the patients the doctor is in charge of. The product has a common base code that can be extended with customized procedures for each clinic.
Key Features
Open Architecture
All application procedures available to the users are composed of one or more forms and a report in their workflow. The main advantage of the system is that the base product has enough flexibility to allow a wide variety of different procedures/workflows and that the subsequent versions of the product will not require complete recoding of the customized modules.
Special Navigator Control
Many procedure forms require point-and-click data entry from large lists. There is a special Navigator Control developed for this application that is activated when the user clicks on one of the in-form navigator icons. It allows users to browse through a hierarchy of headings to find the item they want to select. Each sub-item is loaded dynamically from the database only when it is needed, thus reducing the amount of data to be downloaded in a single request.
PDF Format Support
Each report can be exported to the PDF format with full use of tables, graphs and images in PDF documents.
Security
The application supports secure data transfers via SSL to keep patient data confidential.
Backup
The database backup process is fully automated and supports transfer to the remote server.
Linux Installer
The product includes an automated setup procedure for the Linux OS that installs/upgrades and configures the entire application.
